Fix For Windows Live Writer: Temporary Post Used For Theme Detection

Windows Live Writer is a desktop blog writing program, for writing and previewing posts, either with or without an Internet connection.

To preview posts in the format and style of your blog, Windows Live Writer needs to download the blog theme by publishing a temporary post. This temporary post is supposed to be deleted right away, without appearing on your blog, so your blog visitors should not see it. 

But, some users may experience an error where this temporary post is not deleted properly, so that the temporary post shows up in your blog’s RSS feed, even though it may not appear on your site.

Skype Users Are Now Blocked From Making Calls Using Fring

An earlier post on TechUserFriendly.com discussed using Fring software to make phone calls using your Skype account, from your wi-fi enabled mobile phone. Unfortunately, however, at this time this is no longer possible. That is, you can no longer use your Skype account to make phone calls from Fring.

Update: A new Skype app for Android phones is now available, to go along with some other alternatives to Fring for Skype voice calls.

Depending on how you use the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 camera, in certain lighting conditions, you may notice that yellow spots (or yellow blotches) can appear on your photos. Perhaps not many ZS3 owners notice though, or at least it seems that this yellow spot issue does not bother or impact most Panasonic ZS3 owners, since there is not much discussion about the issue online.

To those owners that do notice, it can be a fairly significant annoyance. But these yellow spots can be largely fixed by using some freely available software. This issue has also been seen in other cameras, so the solution described here can apply to photos taken with many other cameras as well.
